David J. Thiboutot

Brunswick- David J. Thiboutot, age 75 of Stone St., died Thursday, April 7 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.  He was born May 12, 1940 in Brunswick, the son of Roland Sr., and Ruth Jenkins Thiboutot.

He attended Brunswick schools and received his GED prior to entering the U.S. Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged from the service in 1961 and began working as a supervisor at Auerbach Shoe.  He worked there for 13 years, then worked for a few years at Beal Furniture in Portland.  He worked at Bath Iron Works in warehouse inventory for over 20 years, retiring in 2006.

David was an avid bowler at Yankee Lanes, enjoyed golfing, watching football and comedies on television, going out to eat at Fat Boys, and tending to his cats.  He was always interested in the after-life and spirituality.

He is survived by a son Daniel and his wife Christine of Woolwich, two daughters Lee-Ann Thiboutot of  Topsham, and Laurie Boucher and her husband John of Richmond, two brothers Joseph and his wife Gloria, and Roland Jr. and his wife Gail all of Brunswick, a sister Theresa Paulhus and her husband Andre of Harpswell, several grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 12 at 11:30 AM at St. John’s Cemetery in Brunswick.  There are no visiting hours.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunwick, ME 04011.
