Topsham- Catherine "Kay” E. Biette age 87 of Governor’s Way formerly of Columbia Avenue in Brunswick died Tuesday, February 21st at the Governor King Community at the Highlands.

She was born in Bath on February 15, 1930 the daughter of Perleston L. and Katherine M. White Pert Sr. Catherine attended Bath schools and was a graduate of Morse High School.

Catherine worked as a secretary for Judge Harold Rubin.

On August 8, 1953 she married Romeo E. Biette. He died January 20, 2005.

For several years Catherine worked as a secretary at Brunswick High School. Catherine then worked secretarial duties for Dr. Richard Largay and Dr. Thomas Rice until retiring.

Catherine loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed bird watching and flower gardening.

Surviving is a daughter Julie B. Skelton and her partner Steven Burow of Topsham. A son, Bruce A. Biette and his wife Jean of Portland. A sister Jacqueline M. Fossett of Brunswick. Five grandchildren Brooke Biette of Tucson, AZ; Ross A. Biette of Gorham; Kendra K. Skelton of Dover, NH; Andrew J. Skelton and Lincoln J. Skelton both of Topsham. 

In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by two brothers Perleston L. Pert Jr. and Edwin H. Pert and a sister Eunice M. Dow.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 6th at 11 AM at Calvary Cemetery, High St. in Bath.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 383 US Route One, #2C Scarborough, Maine 04074 or to the Curtis Memorial Library Large Print Book Fund, 23 Pleasant St., Brunswick, Maine 04011.
