Dorothy Mae Miller

Obituary
October 10, 1924 - April 15, 2017
Brunswick- Dorothy Mae Miller, age 92 of Woodside Road, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, April 15, 2017.  She was born in Topsham on October 10, 1924 the daughter of Walter and Elinor Ward Garland.

Her greatest joy was her family.  She also enjoyed boating, camping cookouts, and her gardens.  She was a member of Wood Pond Book Club, and past member of West Bath Grange.

She is survived by her daughters Betty E. Palmer, Gloria Jean Brillant, and Dorothy E. Casavant. Grandchildren, Susan E. Descouteaux (husband John), Dwayne A. Palmer (partner Tammy Riendeau), Veronica Thibeault (husband Jim), Elizabeth Palmer widow of Lewis Palmer III, great-grandchildren Rhiamon L., Krissinda E., Dwayne A, Jr., Kyle A. and Lewis E. (IV) Palmer, and former granddaughter-in law Cheryl Palmer.

In addition to her husband Donald J. Miller, she was also predeceased by a sister and three brothers. Two son-in-laws Eudor (Tom) Brillant, and Lewis E Palmer Jr., and a grandson Lewis Palmer III.

At her request there will be no services.  She will be laid to rest at Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, ME beside her husband.

Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
