Litchfield – Kaitlyn Marie Jones, age 28, died unexpectedly at CMMC from complications of Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP), a rare blood disease she was diagnosed with for a few years ago. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who’s life she touched.

Born in Bath, Maine, on June 7, 1988, Kaitlyn grew up in the Brunswick area, later moving to Richmond, Maine where she has a wonderful network of caring, loving friends. Kaitlyn was a free spirit, made friends easily, loved life, her daughter, family and friends. She had an infectious laugh and soul.  She was very proud of the sobriety she had worked so hard for these past six months, wanting to be the best parent possible to her daughter, Jayden Grace.

The daughter of Kathleen Lebel Nees and Kim Jones, Kaitlyn attended Brunswick Schools, and worked as a waitress at several Brunswick restaurants.

She will be painfully missed by her beautiful daughter, Jayden Grace Barber of Richmond, parents Kathi and Brian Nees of Litchfield, biological father Kim Jones of Michigan, brother Ryan R. Jones of Topsham, Aunt and Uncle Pam and Paul Desjardins of Winthrop, MA, cousin Tyler Maiura of Lewiston and extended family in Michigan. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Eddie and Louse Lebel of Prince’s Pt Rd Brunswick, paternal grandparents Leroy and Carol Jones of Michigan, and her dear, dear friend Martha Staton of Richmond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church- All Saints Parish in Brunswick on Monday, May 1st at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jayden Grace Barber’s education fund at Atlantic Federal Credit Union, 55 Cushing St. Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.

Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com
