LEVI JOHN ALEXANDER

Harpswell-Levi John Alexander age 28 died Thursday June 1, 2017 in a motorcycle accident.

He was born August 17, 1988 in Brunswick, Maine. The son of Lendall and Yvette Alexander of Cundy’s Harbor.

He attended Harpswell Island School, Chop Point School and graduating from Mt. Ararat.

On August 9, 2014 he married the love of his life Abby Hodgkins of Harpswell, daughter of Kate and Steve Hodgkins.

For a short time, Levi was a Merchant Marine; he gave that up to be home with the ones he loved and worked at Bath Iron Works as a stage builder. He loved his wife and family and they meant the world to him. He loved working on cars and his truck, going to camp at the Forks, boat rides and the beach. He loved his good friends and always through his infectious smile brought joy to anybody lucky enough to know him. There’s nothing he liked better than a good bonfire.

Levi and Abby were building a new home in Harpswell that the contractors had just started to build. His hobbies were preparing the land for the contractors and anything that needed fixing. He was a genius with anything that needed to be fixed and in short order could determine the necessary steps to accomplish the task.

Levi enjoyed spending time with their three dogs, Charlie, an eight-year-old black lab, Tilly, an eight-year-old Bordeaux Mastiff and his baby Bailey, a three-year-old yellow lab.

Surviving besides his wife Abby of Harpswell is his parents Lendall Jr. and Yvette Alexander and a brother, Lendall (Duane)III all of Cundy’s Harbor. Mother and father in-law Kate and Stephen Hodgkins and a brother in-law Tyler Hodgkins all of Harpswell. Grandparents, Blair and Pat Brown of Brunswick, Lucille Eastman of Cundy’s Harbor, Lendall and Sherry Alexander of Phippsburg. He has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many who love him like he was their brother.

A Celebration of Levi’s life will be held from 2-6 PM Saturday, June 10 with a service beginning at 2PM at the home of Terry and Kathy Alexander 67 Grover Lane (Cundy’s Harbor) Harpswell, Maine 04079.

The dress code is Carhartt, flannel and ball caps.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Harpswell Neck Fire Department 1430 Harpswell Neck Road, Harpswell, Maine 04079 and the Cundy’s Harbor Fire Department c/o Burr Taylor 45 Taylor Road, Harpswell, Me 04079.
