Deborah L. Joerger, of Mountain View, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 while at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.  Born on October 18, 1957 to Roland and Sonia (Richards) Rush, she was 59 years old.

Having grown up in Brunswick, Maine, Debbie attended the local schools and graduated from Brunswick High School.  She later went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine.  It was in Brunswick where she met her future husband, James.  They fell in love and later purchased land near Sims Valley, where they decided to build a life.  They were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Willow Springs, MO by Father Sherman Wall in 1991. To this union, two children were born.

Debbie had worked at numerous places, but most recently for Linda Carter of Keller Williams Real Estate in West Plains as an office manager.

Debbie had many enjoyments in life. She loved to travel, and especially loved vacations with her family .  She had a great love for animals, but couldn’t bear to see them hurt or wounded.  James taught her how to shoot, and she became a expert shot. She even had her own tree stand for deer hunting that no one else was allowed to use.  Her other hobbies included tatting and crocheting, but her real passion was baking.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was the coordinator for the CCD class, and was the bookkeeper for many years. She always had a big heart and loved to help her community and others in need.   She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Roland Rush Jr.

She is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Jennifer Joerger of Brunswick, ME; her son, Xavier Joerger and his wife, Whitney of Fenton, MO; and her mother, Sonia Rush, also of Brunswick, ME.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 26 at 11 AM at St. John Cemetery in Brunswick, ME.
