Topsham-Rodney Frank Clark, age 85 of the Tedford Rd., died peacefully with his family at his side, on January 19, 2018 at Maine VA Health Care System in Togus.

He was born August 17, 1932, the son of Frank and Mildred Clark.

He attended school in Topsham/Brunswick. Rod served in the US Army for 4 years and he was a Korean war veteran.  He worked for the Pejepscot Paper Mill for many years, until it's closing, then worked in maintenance for Bowdoin College until his retirement.

On July 13, 1957 Rodney married the love of his life, Patricia Clark. Rodney was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed life. He was a man that liked to stay busy, and he was always learning new things. He was often seen in his gardens tending his flowers, and his tablet was always nearby. He was always inventing new ways of getting things done.

Rod and his wife enjoyed many travels together over the years, and they were always on the go. Rodney loved his family, and enjoyed the energy of all of his grandchildren and his great grandson. He enjoyed family get togethers, good food, cream rolls and pumpkin pie.

Surviving are his daughter Julie Johnson of Augusta, daughter Kellie Johnson and her husband Jim Johnson of Topsham, grandsons Matthew Ricker of Bloomsburg, PA , Mitchell Ricker of Gardiner, granddaughters Lindsey Clark, Bayli and Lauren Johnson, all of Topsham, and great grandson Mason Ricker.

Rod was predeceased by the love of his life Pat Clark in June, his son Gary Clark, and great grandson Corbin Ricker.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation, for the professional and compassionate care that Rod received from the staff at Androscoggin Hospice as well as the Togus VA Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 17 at 1PM at Rogers Cemetery, Topsham.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 1 Main St. #300, Topsham, ME. 04086.
