Our Staff

	Anthony B. Purinton, Owner & Funeral Director Anthony is local Brunswick native. He graduated from Brunswick High School and attended University of Southern Maine. He graduated from New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences. While in high school Anthony began his apprenticeship becoming a licensed director in 1987. Anthony purchased Stetson’s Funeral Home in 1991. He is a member of the Maine Funeral Director’s Association, the National Director’s Association, the Brunswick Elks Lodge. He is also a Notary Public, State of Maine.

	Debbie Purinton, Owner & Office Manager Debbie graduated from Kennebunk High School and also Andover College with an Associates Degree in accounting. She is very involved in the day to day operations of the funeral home and a member of the Brunswick Emblem Club. Debbie has been involved in her children’s parents sporting groups.

	Jerome Purinton, Funeral Assistant Jerry is a local Brunswick native graduate of Brunswick High School. For 38 years he owned and operated Purinton Farms. For over 15 years he has worked with Anthony has a valued assistant. He enjoys singing and being a member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A (Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America) for the past 36 years.

	Gary Starzynski, Funeral Director Gary joined Stetson’s Funeral Home in July of 2009 and is excited to be working as such a vibrant and progressive place. He graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Medical Technology and received his Mortuary Science Degree from Arapahoe Community College, Littleton, CO. He was trained by Doug Manning to be a Certified Celebrant providing personalized funeral services for families who wish to celebrate their lost loved one's life.
