Yarmouth- Thelma Eleona Cutler Good of West Main St. and formerly of Topsham died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth after many years of declining health.

She was born at the family home in Topsham, the daughter of the late Thomas C. Cutler and Myrtie Dora Brown Cutler. She attended Topsham Schools and graduated from Brunswick High School at the age of 16. She spent her lifetime living in Topsham and in January, 1996 moved to Cumberland to be closer to her daughter.

During the war years she met and married Cecil Raymond Good. They were married in Brunswick on May 27, 1941.

She worked in various office positions in the Bath/Brunswick area, the last being for Harry Lally, CPA, that later became Normand Houde, CPA, then Houde and Boucher, then Houde, Boucher, Perkins and Raye. She retired from there after 34 years.

She was a former charter member of the Brunswick Emblem Club #323.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra D. Nickerson of Cumberland, a grandson Keith T. Good and his wife Lisa and son Jacob of Standish, a granddaughter Valerie R. Pillsbury and her husband Ken of Bowdoin, a daughter-in-law Linda R. Good and her partner Parker Gerow of Durham.

She is predeceased by her husband Cecil in 1980, a son Wayne T. Good in 1998, brother Robert E. Cutler in 2002, brother Merrill A. Cutler in 2007, and son-in-law Paul E. Nickerson in 2006.

The family wishes to extend special thanks for the care and compassion provided to Thelma by Dr Louis Hanson and his staff, the staff of Ledgeview Assisted Living and the staff of Coastal Manor.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, January 9 from 11AM-12Noon at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick where a funeral service will follow at Noon with the Rev. Ronald McLaughlin officiating. A reception will be held, following the service at the Stetson’s Funeral Home Reception Center. Burial in the family lot at Riverview Cemetery, Topsham will be held in the spring.
