Nina M. Thibodeau

May 16, 1938 - February 27, 2015

Nina Thibodeau of Brunswick, Maine joined her loving family in heaven on February 27, 2015. Nina was born May 16, 1938 in Connors New Brunswick, Canada to Frank and Bertha Blair. Nina was the second of ten children.

She married Eldrick Thibodeau of St. Francis, Maine on Feb. 21, 1955. Nina devoted her life to her family - raising seven children and often working several jobs to try to meet the needs of her growing and thriving family. She instilled in her children a love and respect for life, a commitment to family and her own strong work ethic. She cared deeply about her children and extended family and sacrificed much, even her own wellbeing, so they could have a better life. Nina had a beautiful laugh and relished time spent with family, enjoyed playing cards, beano, going to yard sales and visiting Foxwoods with her sister Leila.

Nina and Eldrick raised their children primarily In Fort Fairfield located in Aroostook County before relocating to the Yarmouth and Brunswick area in 1984.

Nina is survived by her seven children, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, with three more on the way, as well as one great-great grandchild. Nina is also survived by her sister Lucy of Texas, as well as her sister Leila and brother Daniel of Connecticut.

The Family's gratitude goes out to Chans Hospice and Hawthorne House Nursing Facility for the incredible care in her final days.

Visiting hours will be from 6-8 PM Friday, March 6th at Stetson's Funeral Home 12 Federal Street, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, March 7th at St. John's the Baptist Church-All Saints Parish, 39 Pleasant St. Brunswick. Interment will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hawthorne House Patient Activities Fund 6 Old County Road, Freeport, Maine 04032. Memorial condolences may be expressed at
