Tracie A. Shorette

Brunswick- Tracie Alice Shorette, age 43, died Monday, April 11th at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, after battling multiple illnesses for 14 years. She was born March 16th, 1973 in Brunswick, ME, the daughter of Alfred and Jean Pullen.

Tracie was educated at Harpswell Islands School and Mt. Ararat. She married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence Shorette Jr., on July 13th 1991.

She loved crafting and would spend hours making new creations and upcycling items into new treasures. Tracie loved music and had a sizeable collection of recordings. She loved to read romances and science fiction. She collected anything about cats, especially anything Hello Kitty. Tracie loved and adored her cat Molly, who she adopted from the local shelter.

Tracie is survived by her husband Lawrence of Brunswick, mother Jean Pullen and step-father Stephan L. Douglas of Harpswell, brother Kenneth R. Toothaker Jr., of Harpswell, 2 sisters, Georgia L. Temple and her companion Garey Heartly of Bowdoin and Cindy A. Glynn and her husband Jamey Sr. of Bowdoin, Sister in law Tammy M. Hadley and her family of Bowdoinham, and 7 nieces and nephews.

A visiting hour will be held Friday, April 15th from 11-12 Noon at Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A funeral service will follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory and in honor of her cat may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011.
