Nicholas Daniel Oram, 22, of Topsham, passed in the early hours of November 24, 2016. Nick was born on February 2, 1994 in Brunswick, Maine to Dan and Michelle (Morin) Oram. He attended school in Topsham, graduating from Mt. Ararat High School in 2012. At the time of his passing, he was working with his father as a carpenter.

Nick was an all season athlete, excelling in sports from an early age. He played for multiple recreation and travel soccer teams before making Mt. Ararat’s varsity team as a high school freshman, being chosen as captain his senior year, and for the East Senior Bowl.  He also participated and lettered in lacrosse and competed in the 2012 National Indoor Track Championships in New York City with his relay team. Nick continued his soccer career after high school by playing for one season with SMCC, multiple indoor teams and mostly notably the Bath Football Club. Along with traditional team sports, Nick could often be found at the skate park working on new tricks, the bowling alley perfecting his form or heckling his opponent over a game of pool.

Nick will be remembered by all who knew him as someone with the purest, most genuine heart. There was nothing he loved more than putting a smile on someone’s face and he always knew just how to do so. His sarcastic sense of humor and shameless confidence often made him the center of attention, where he always felt quite comfortable.

Nicholas is survived by his parents, Dan and Michelle, and older sister, Alyse of Topsham. He leaves behind hundreds of friends and acquaintances that already miss him greatly.

A celebration of life is to be held at the Orion Preforming Arts Center located next to the Mt. Ararat Middle School 66 Republic Avenue in Topsham, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 beginning at 1pm. A reception is to follow directly after at the American Legion on Foreside Road in Topsham.
