Topsham – Myrtle L. (Foster)
Golding age 90 of Foreside Road passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at home
with her family by her side.
She was born in Topsham on August
26, 1928, the daughter of Holman and Virginia (Hasty) Foster. Myrtle attended
John A. Cohen and Brunswick High School.
On March 31, 1956 she married
Malcolm P. Golding Sr.
Myrtle loved her family, they
were the light of her world. She was proud of her children for everything they
accomplished with their lives. She enjoyed the simple things in life, good
food, good company and laughter. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, she
opened her arms and her heart to her step great grandson and was thrilled and
overfilled with love and joy for her great granddaughter who was born this past
June. She often reminisced about the days of gardening and the way life used to
be. Razzing those she loved the most and always lighting up the room with her
smile.
Myrtle is predeceased by her
husband, Malcolm P. Golding Sr and brothers Dick and David Foster.
She is survived by her son,
Malcolm P. Golding Jr. of Topsham. A Daughter, Ellen J. Savage and her husband,
Shawn of Livermore. Grandson Malcolm P. Golding III and his partner Tara,
granddaughter Erin Savage and her partner Mike. Great-grandchildren Mack and
Waelyn Golding, Ricky Savage and partner Jamie. She is also survived by many
nieces, cousins and special friends.
A funeral service will be held
on Monday, November 5th at 1PM at the Stetson’s Funeral Home 12
Federal St. Brunswick with the Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment will be
in Roger’s Cemetery, Topsham.
