Bowdoin-Dorothy (Dottie) E. Casavant, age 74, of Adams Road
died Thursday, December 6th in the Bodwell Unit of the Mid Coast
Senior Health Center in Brunswick, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Brunswick on September 12, 1944 the daughter
of Harvey and Dorothy Miller Casavant.
She attended Brunswick schools and graduated from Brunswick
High School. Ms. Casavant was employed at Auerback Shoe and later at Cooper
Industries where she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family and
occasional trips to the casino.
Dottie is survived by two sisters, Gloria Jean (Casavant) Brilliant
of Bowdoin and Betty E. (Casavant) Palmer of Brunswick. Two nieces, Susan E.
Descoteaux and her husband John and Veronica L. Brilliant Thibeault and her
husband Jim. A nephew, Dwayne Palmer and his partner Tammy and also survived by
several great nieces and nephews.
Dottie was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Miller, nephew
Lewis Palmer III, two brother-in-law’s Eudor (Tom) Brilliant and Lewis E.
Palmer Jr.
Dottie was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her
family and friends.
At Dottie’s request there will be no services.
In lieu of cards and flowers memorial donations may be made
to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, Maine 04011.
