Topsham- George A. McKay age 78 of Pinewood Drive died
Sunday, January 20th at his home.
He was born in Augusta, on June 18, 1940 the son of
Arthur "Red” and Geneva Adams McKay. He served three years in the Marine Corps
being honorably discharged in 1960.
On September 10, 1960 he married Dolores F. Ouellette.
She died January 22, 2014.
For thirty- eight years George worked as a loader then
supervisor for US Gypsum in Lisbon Falls. George also built houses with Phil
Pinette.
George enjoyed playing golf and cribbage as wells as
going to the casino and on the former Mainline Bus Tours.
He was a member of the Brunswick Knights of Columbus
and the Topsham American Legion.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis of Topsham, David of
Richmond and Darrin and his wife Brenda of Brunswick. A sister Nora Labbe of
Topsham.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 24th
from 4-6 PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A funeral
service will be held Friday, January 25th at 11AM at the funeral
home.
Spring interment with military honors will be held at
St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
