Topsham – Priscille A. Folger, age 95 of Front Street, died Wednesday, May 1st at Dionne Commons in Brunswick.  She was born in Topsham on October 27, 1923, the daughter of Joseph H. and Josephine E. Belanger Michaud.  She attended St. John’s School and Brunswick High School.

On December 30, 1944 she married Martin O. Folger at St. John’s Church.  He passed away on June 18, 1990.

Mrs, Folger worked many years for her father at Verney Mill, followed by several years at Sewall & Son and then Cottle’s and Shop and Save from where she retired.  Many will remember her smiling "Hello” from behind the deli-bakery counter.

Pat, as she was known by all, enjoyed weekends at Tacoma Lake with family and friends in the summer months.  She also enjoyed her four-legged friends, Bandit and Indie, as well as giving treats to the neighborhood dogs.

Her biggest calling besides raising her family was caring for her mother and father and her husband.  Once they were deceased, she would visit elderly friends and acquaintances to help them if she could or just to brighten up their day.  She did all this with a joyful spirit and much caring.

Pat was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and even though was not able to attend meetings, always responded to their request for donations for the funeral luncheons that the Daughters prepared for their deceased members, as well as providing items for the Beano canteen for the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving is a daughter Priscilla Lavallee-Slinger and her husband Frank, and a son Martin (Fritz) R. Folger and his wife Patricia.  She also leaves three grandsons, Chris Folger and wife Nicole, Sean Folger and wife Alicia, and Joey Lavallee and his companion Linda Cristiani.  Also step-grandchildren Natalie and Shane Gibson, Lt Col. Timothy and Kimberley Slinger and Dena and Christie Slinger.  Her great-grandchildren are Alyssa, Gillian and Lane Folger, Eric Lavallee, and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Lillian Lavallee.

Besides her parents and husband she is predeceased by her siblings, Conrad and Russell Michaud, Jeannette Greve, Gloria Quagliaroli, and her grandson, Michael Lavallee.

A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 11am to 12 noon at Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick, where the memorial service will follow at noon. Committal prayers will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Brunswick. A reception at St. Charles Borromeo Church Parish Hall 132 McKeen St. Brunswick will follow the committal prayers at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s School, 37 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.

The family would like to thank Dionne Commons’ staff for the wonderful care and love they have given to Pat over the past several years. Memorial condolences may expressed at
