Webster D. Haney

Obituary
May 18, 1922 - August 24, 2009
Brunswick-Webster “Webb” D. Haney age 87 of Maquoit Road died Monday August 24th at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Brunswick on May 18, 1922 the son of Frank and Ruth Goodenow Haney and attended Brunswick schools. During WWII Webster served in the Army.
On August 10, 1946 he married Gertrude Harmon.
For his entire life Webster worked as a clamdigger and for twenty years Webster worked in the Public Works Department for the Town of Brunswick. Webster was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed telling jokes. Webster was very knowledgeable about where towns in Maine were located. He enjoyed his golden retrievers Mariah and Molly.
Webster was a lifetime member of the DAV.
Surviving besides his wife of Brunswick is a sister Wanita Richards of Brunswick. Also survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Roger Haney in 1992.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM Saturday at Maquoit Cemetery, Maquoit Road, Brunswick. Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick and memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com
