Yarmouth-Emily A. Gibbs, age 82 of Forest Falls Drive, passed away Saturday, August 21 at Bay Square at Yarmouth. She was born in Jewitt City, CT on June 12, 1928 the Daughter of John Edward and Mary Martha Jarvis Jacobs. She went to St. Paul's Catholic School through the ninth grade and graduated from Hope High School in Rhode Island. She was a very talented cook and loved to bake. She did food preparation for medical facilities and Hannaford in Yarmouth, ME andvolunteered at the Brunswick Soup Kitchen for several years. Emily enjoyed the ocean and seashells. She loved Roger Williams Park in RI and spent her youth with the park as her 'big back yard'. She was an avid skier untillate into her 70s. She also enjoyed ice skating, dancing and keeping fit.  In addition, she loved New York City and enjoyed going to Broadway shows. She is survived by 2 sons, John F. Snow Jr. and his wife Susan of Litchfield, ME, and Russell P. Snow and his wife Gail of Concord, NH, four daughters, Leslie M. Piver and her husband William of Raleigh, NC, Lori J. Sheldon and her husband Michael of Cumberland, ME, Erica M. Campbell of Litchfield, ME and Monica M. Snow and her husband Dan Brochu of Salem, MA., and a sister, Elizabeth Cottrell and her husband Robert of Coventry, RI. She especially enjoyed her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, 10 siblings and an infant daughter. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, August 22 from 6-8PM at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 23 at 1:30PM at St. Charles Borromeo Church-All Saint's Parish, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick with a committal service immediately following at St. John's Cemetery in Brunswick.
