Orr's Island Maine- Harry J. Uhde, age 88 died August 30, 2013 at home. He was born on March 27, 1925 in Newark New Jersey. He had been a Newark fireman for 40 years. In that span he had a total of 3 sick days. He was captain at time of his retirement. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. On May 16, 1953 he married Agnes M Brasser also of Newark NJ. He enjoyed furniture making, The Red Sox and his dog Frank. Surviving are his wife Agnes and sons Chap. Maj.Peter M Uhde US Army 2-13 Aviation Regiment, Michael A. Uhde of Newark NJ, and Andrew M. Uhde and spouse Pamela Uhde Of Knightstown IN. Memorial visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 5th from 7-9PM at Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., Newark NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 6th at 9AM at Holy Trinity/Epiphany Church, 207 Adams St., Newark, NJ. Interment at Brigadier General William C.
