Brunswick - Irene C. Labrecque age 80 of Wadsworth Road went to be with her God and his Angels on Wednesday morning October 26 at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick. She was born in Topsham on September 21, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Marie Louise Fortin Beaudoin. She graduated from St. John's School and attended High School in South Berwick. On September 24, 1949 she married Clement Labrecque. He went to prepare for Irene to someday join him on January 2, 1994. Irene worked at Woolworth's for a short time as a young girl, and then devoted her life to raising her family. She was a devout Catholic and incorporated God in every aspect of her life as she raised her beloved children. Her family was her career, and she made them her life's work. She taught her children how to love the Lord as much as she did and each other. She is survived by daughter Monique Story and her husband Tom of Brunswick. Daughter Theresa Labrecque of Brunswick, and son Raymond Labrecque of Richmond, a sister, Pauline Avery of Colchester, Connecticut, 2 beloved Grandsons, James Leavitt and his wife Kathleen of Portland and Andrew Leavitt of Brunswick, and also Great-Granddaughters Audrey and Ida Leavitt of Portland. She is also survived by her extended family of Guardian Angels at Winship Green in Bath where she was dearly loved and cared for by many. She was pre-deceased by sisters Joanne Beaudoin and Theresa Bernier, and brother Roland Beaudoin. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 1st from 6-8PM at Stetson's Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 10 AM at St. John's the Baptist Church, Pleasant St. Brunswick. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Brunswick.
