Obituary

Brunswick- Jeannette T. Saucier, affectionately known as Nettie or Jan, 88, of Scarborough, Maine, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Nettie will be remembered with immense love by her family and all those whose lives she touched. Above all, she cherished her family and the memories they created together. Perhaps her greatest gift was her ability to make people feel loved without ever having to say a word. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and quiet, unconditional love will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Nettie loved reading, going for rides, and traveling with her children. Whether enjoying a quiet moment with a book or setting off on another adventure, she found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of those closest to her.

Born on January 2, 1938, in Rochester, New Hampshire, to Alice Soucy Bolduc and Antonio Bolduc, Nettie grew up in Somersworth, New Hampshire, and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1956. She continued her education at secretarial school, which led to a position at a local shoe factory. It was there that she met her first husband, Bill. They married on July 1, 1957, and together raised six wonderful children.

Nettie’s unwavering dedication to her family was evident in everything she did, including the years she spent working alongside Bill to make the Falcon Restaurant a success. Following their divorce in 1975, she married Richard Saucier in 1979. They shared many loving years together until his passing in 2015.

During the early years of their marriage, Nettie and Richard became active members of the Maine Dairy Goat Association. From the early 1980s through the mid-1990s, they maintained a herd of dairy goats and eventually became involved in showing goats at agricultural fairs. Their adventures took them throughout Maine, as far north as Blue Hill, and out of state for conventions and events.

Nettie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard, her sons, Mark and Jimmy, and her grandson, Bill.

She is survived by her children, Nola Ormsby, Jon Ormsby and his wife, Donna, Claire Levesque, Celeste Tamburello and her husband, Joe. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Tenaj Ormsby, Renee Ormsby, Joshua Ormsby, Kaylin Knox, Sasha Crawford, Sal Tamburello, and Gianna Tamburello.

She is also survived by her sister, Cecile Toussaint, and her husband, Charles; her niece, Nicole; her nephews, Danny, David, and Mark; and her stepchildren and step grandchildren.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Monica, Rusty, Jade, and Tara, who remained an important part of Nettie’s life following the passing of their father and grandfather. Nettie loved each of you as her own.

The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Scarborough for the exceptional care, kindness, and love they showed Nettie during her time there. She truly loved you all, and your compassion meant so much to her and her family.
