TOPSHAM – Jerome B. Creeden, 83, died Friday, November 19th.
He was born in Lewiston, Maine April 9, 1927, the son of Jeremiah and Margaret Murphy Creeden. He attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1952. After graduating he worked in the emerging field of Computer Science for the government and defense contractors.
On November 16, 1957 he married Mary Petersen in Arlington, VA. He retired to Maine in 1991 to be near his family and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, wife and brother James Creeden.
He is survived by his brother, John Creeden and his wife Miriam of Mt. Prospect, Il, a son, Dennis Creeden of Freeport, and daughters Ann Creeden of Topsham, Patricia Bryant and her husband Darin of Topsham, grandchildren, Megan Creeden, Molly Creeden, Joshua Bryant, Nathan Bryant and Seth Bryant, as well as his brother-in-law Neil Hintze of Oshkosh, WI.
A private funeral and interment will be held on November 24, 2010.
He was a life-time member of the Knights of Columbus.
