John B. Randazza, age 82, of Bradenton, Florida and Harpswell, Maine died at Health South RehabilitationHospital in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday, June 13, 2010, following a courageous battle with heart disease. Bornin 1928 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, he was the son of Margaret and Benedetto Randazza. In 1949, he married Jeanette Dumas, his loving wife, and they were happily married for over 60 years. A 1949 graduate of Wentworth College in Boston, John worked for several power companies, retiring in 1989 as Vice President of Central Maine Power and President of Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company. After retirement, he continued working as a consultant for the Yankee Companies serving on several executive boards. John was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Apostles Church in Bradenton, Florida and St. Charles Borromeo Church in Brunswick, Maine. Among his many interests were his family, fishing, and traveling. Surviving are his wife Jeanette and five children; Margaret Grimes of Kittery Maine, Jan Rauch of Baltimore Maryland, Ben Randazza of Moorpark California, Nina Randazza of Rochester, NY, Joel Randazza of Fairfield Maine, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Additional survivors are John's brother and sisters. Private funeral services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester, Massachusetts later this summer.
