Obituary

Kevin Harold LaPierre, 62, of Freeport passed away on July 13, 2024, at home. Kevin was born August 16, 1961, in Bath, Maine. Kevin was loved dearly. Life was not easy for him and even though it was tough, he worked hard. He built many things as a general contractor in southern New Hampshire, including the home his daughters grew up in. He was also a gardener. He made the most beautiful vegetable gardens every summer and his green thumb harvested lots of vegetables every year. He loved to cook a lot of things and was a patient teacher of things he knew. He knew a little bit about a lot. He enjoyed music, fishing, racing and snowmobiling and he was a sailor who navigated all over Maine over many calm, foggy and rough waters. He could fix anything that was broken and if he couldn't do it, he had friends who could. He was a good friend and at one time in his life, he had many. Alcoholism really changes a person. Something Kevin really struggled with. He refused, he had an issue with it, one of the hardest things those who loved him had to see. Through all of that though, Kevin was a good person with a kind heart, and nothing can take that away. From cooking, fishing, sailing and giving advice about anything, Kevin would have done anything for his friends and family. He was a good helper and a hard worker, and his heart was always in the right place. May he rest in Peace with the Lord. He is survived by his father, Harold LaPierre, his siblings, Becky Vanderpot and Jeff LaPierre. His daughters, Stacey LaPierre and Elizabeth Logan. Services will be private and personal.
