Obituary

Brunswick – Lucy L. Earl, age 78, of Harpswell Rd. passed away Friday, October 17th at Mid Coast Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Brunswick on September 7, 1936, the daughter of Lucien and Loretta Bernier Brillant. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1954 and Married David R. Earl on December 31, 1955. She worked at J and J Cleaners as a clerk from 1954 to 1960 and for Jordan Acres School as a secretary from 1975 to 1997. Lucy loved to read, tend her flower garden, sew, have lunch with her friends, and tend to her favorite dog, Nikki. She was a member for St. John's the Baptist Church – All Saints Parish.   She was predeceased by her first daughter, Debra Ann Earl, who died in January, 1960, and two brothers, Roland Brillant, who died in 2011 and Robert Brillant, who died in 2014. She is survived by her husband, David Earl of Brunswick, a daughter, Sheryl Williams and her husband, Clayton, of Topsham, a son, Wayne and his wife Elizabeth Delano-Earl, of West Bath, six grandchildren, Jade Earl, Dylan Earl Johnson, Gunnar Earl Johnson, Courtney Guth, Cameron Guth and Connor Guth, sisters-in-law Sue Duval, of Brunswick and Terry Perkins of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces.   Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, October 22nd from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 23rd at 10 AM at St. John's the Baptist Church – All Saints Parish, Pleasant St., Brunswick. A reception will follow at the Stetson's Funeral Home reception center. Burial beside her daughter will be Saturday, October 25th at 12 noon at St. John's cemetery, Brunswick.   Donations in her memory may be made to The ALS Foundation, NNE Chapter, The Concord Center, 10 Ferry Street, Suite 309, Concord, NH 03301.
