Topsham, Maine-Martha C. Downing age 81 of Hubbard Lane died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.   Martha was a teacher for many years while living in New Jersey before retiring to Maine in 2005. The Downing's vacationed at their home in South Berkshire County, where there was a long family historical connection to the area.   Surviving are her four children, Christy Lopez of North Plainfied, NJ, Lindsay Schiafo and her husband Russell of Chester, NJ, Shelley Mazzarino and her husband John of Califon, NJ and Paul Cook Downing IV and his wife Dana of Dunellen, NJ. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Thursday June 26, 2014 from 3-5 pm at Stetson's Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick.   A funeral service will be held in Great Barrington, MA.
