Maureen E. Watterson passed away on Monday November 27, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland on July 17, 1944 to Hilda & Eddie Ritchie. She enjoyed her younger years swimming in the frigid waters off the coast of Ireland and graduated as a Nurse Midwife. After marrying Laurence and the arrival of Gavin , then Lauren, the family immigrated to Presque Isle, Maine in December 1977 along with Hilda. There they created a loving home and with the arrival of Kerry into the family they were complete. They made lasting friendships and loved the beauty of Northern Maine but retired to Brunswick, Maine where they enjoyed their time reading, traveling in their RV and trying different restaurants. She is survived by her loving husband Laurence; son Gavin & wife Angela ; daughter Lauren & husband Peter; grandchildren Jasmine & Jude; and daughter Kerry & husband Justin. A celebration of life will take place next year.
