Brunswick-Nancy E. Doughty, age 67 of Elwell Lane, passed away Wednesday, September 1st at her residence. She was born September 7, 1942 in Portland, the daughter of Solomon M. and Eleanor C. Belfontaine Blanchard. She was educated in Falmouth Schools and married David S. Doughty Sr., who passed away in June of 1979. She worked for many years in the house keeping department of Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. She is survived by 3 children, Linda A. Mitchell, David S. Doughty Jr. and Nelson P. Doughty all of Brunswick, 4 grandchildren, Lisa Mitchell, David Doughty III, Amanda Doughty, and Amber Doughty, several great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Blanchard of Dixfield, seven sisters, Mary Seiler of Michigan, Patricia Faunce of South Portland, Barbara Bracy of Southwest Harbor, Carol Layden of North Carolina, Elizabeth Alley of Lubec, Eleanor Blanchard of Portland and Margaret Brown of South Portland. She was predeceased by a brother, John Blanchard. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Tuesday, September 7 at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, ME with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Pownal, ME.
