Brunswick-Robert E. Pollard, 75 of 29 Long Street died at his home on Sunday, January 27th. He was born in Brunswick on February 26, 1937 the son of Rubert and Lena Haney Pollard.
Mr. Pollard attended Brunswick schools.
On September 21, 1963 he married Faye R. Newton in Brunswick.
Mr. Pollard worked at Bath Iron Works and retired in 2001 from the Harding's Plant after many years of service. He had also worked previously at Eastland Shoe in Freeport and independently as a clam digger.
His hobbies included fixing electronics and being an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.
He was a member of Local Union 6 of BIW.
Besides his wife of Brunswick, surviving are three children: a son Randy Pollard and his wife Kim of Bowdoinham, a daughter Terri Burgess and her husband John (Jack) of Brunswick, and a daughter Angel Sumrall and her husband Mike of Brunswick. Also surviving are two sisters: Jean Elie of Arizona and Edith A. Brown of Dixmont, Maine. He was blessed with many grandsons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the spring.
