Harpswell- Verda M. Lubee age 84 of Ash Point Road died Saturday, May 10th at her home surrounded by her family . She was born in Bath on January 12, 1930 the daughter of John and Leslie Pierce Carter. Verda attended Brunswick schools.   Verda was a homemaker and was predeceased by her husband's Maurice King Moody Sr. in 1972 and Austin E. Lubee in 1997. Verda enjoyed cooking and was a member of the West Harpswell Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters Barbara Lindsey of Phippsburg and Charlene Middleton of Jefferson. A son Maurice K. Moody Jr. of Harpswell. Five grandchildren Jessica Blake, Evan Moody, Jordan Moody, Shenandoah Middleton and Mariah Rackliff. Also survived by seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday June 1, 2014 at 2:00PM at the West Harpswell Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Ingle officiating.
