Obituary

Vida M. Henry age 75 of Dionne Circle died Sunday, February 9th at her home. She was born in Cleveland OH, September 8, 1938, the daughter of Stephen and Anna Dvorak Szaraz.   She attended primary and secondary school in Bedford Ohio before attending St. Mary's College in South Bend IN and graduating from Ohio University with a degree in English. On September 24th 1961, Vida married Richard A. Henry, who passed away April 3 2003.   Mrs. Henry worked at John Hancock Insurance Company for more than 20 years, in their field office in Milwaukee and eventually in their Boston headquarters. After retiring from Hancock in 1993, Mrs. Henry went back to school, earning an undergraduate and graduate degree in physical therapy from Ohio State University and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Mrs. Henry was a member of MENSA and enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, including painting, ceramics, opera, classic movies, and reading. She loved to play cards, board games, and was devoted to her pets.   Surviving is her son Richard Henry, of Cape Elizabeth. Brother Stephen Szaraz of Shake Heights, OH, sister Rozanne Walsh, and her husband Dan, of Columbus OH, and sister Suzanne, of Virginia Beach, VA, along with many nieces and nephews. A private gathering for family will be held at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick ME 04011 would be greatly appreciated.
